Competition Rules

  1. A maximum of 10 Players are allowed per team
  2. Entry form with player list must be returned to Gerald Güther (email: [email protected]) by latest Monday, 9th December 2019. 
  3. The Entry form must be accompanied by a copy of an ID, Driver’s License or Passport of each player.  No birth certificates will be accepted.
  4. No player shall be allowed to play in the Social Division, if he is, or was, a registered player with a club playing in any league organized by the Namibian Football Association for the 2019/2020 season (European League 6th Division and up for the 2019/2020 season), or any part thereof.  Failure to comply with this rule will result in the disqualification of the entire team.
  5. Teams will be entered on a First Come, First Service basis and registered only after the receipt of the FULL Entry Fee and duly completed Entry Form in terms of Point 3 above.
  6. The Entry Fee is N$ 2,000.00 which includes a refundable deposit of N$ 1,000.00 to be refunded after the team’s last game subject to Point 7 below.
  7. Price Money Allocation:

        

      League: 1st: N$ 5’000.00

                         2nd: N$ 2’500.00

                         3rd: N$ 1’500.00

                         4th: N$ 500.00


           Social:    1st: N$ 2’500.00

                         2nd: N$ 1’500.00

                          3rd: N$ 1’000.00

                          4th: N$ 500.00

 

  1. The Team Deposit WILL NOT be refunded for the following:
    1. Late turn up for a game
    2. The use of any other player not on the team list
    3. The use of a player mentioned in Point 4 & Point 10
    4. Assault (physical or verbal) on a Referee, Tournament Officials, Players or Spectators.
  2. Included in the Entry Fee is the player’s gate entrance for the Saturday and Sunday (10 players).  For this each player will receive an armband which he/she is to keep for the duration of the tournament.  

 

  1. No player will be allowed to play if he is not wearing the armband.  Failure to comply with this rule will result in the player receiving a RED CARD.
  2. Broken armbands will be replaced by the tournament Director only. 
  3. No player is allowed to play for more than one team.
  4. No changes to the Team Entry will be entertained after the kick-off of the first game of the tournament.
  5. Only 5 players are allowed on the field at any given time.
  6. Flying change can only be completed at the center line where substitutes are.
  7. Throw in will be in the form of a kick in.
  8. No goals can be scored from a kick in unless another player has touched the ball.
  9. The offside rule does not apply.
  10. The goalkeeper may not pick up the ball from a back pass.
  11. Goals may be scored from inside the 20 meter line only.
  12. Yellow card will result in 2min suspension.
  13. Red card will result in a suspension for the remainder of the game and the next game.  No player may replace the player shown the Red card.
  14. ASSAULT ON REFEREE, PLAYERS OR SPECTATORS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EXCLUSION OF THE PLAYER FROM THE TOURNAMENT AND THE FORFEIT OF THE TEAMS DEPOSIT.
  15. Late turn up for game will result in a 3:0 win for the opposing team. No Grace period.
  16. Progress in group stages will be determined as follows:
    1. Most Points
    2. Head to Head
    3. Goal Difference
    4. Most Goals Scored
    5. If 3 or more teams have equal points only rules c & d apply
    6. Penalty shoot-out.
  17. Progress in knock out stage in case of a tie:
    1. Penalty shoot-out – no extra time.  3 Penalties per team
    2. Thereafter the Sudden Death rule will apply
  18. Games will be played as follows:
    1. League - 2 x 8min with no half time.
    2. Social Division – 2 x 8min with no half time.
  19. Penalties will be executed by a run up from the center spot, and has to be completed within 10 seconds after the whistle has been blown.
  20. FAIR PLAY WILL BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY.
  21. THE ORGANISER’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
  22. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SFC SPORTS GROUNDS DUE TO SAFETY REASONS.
  23. NO REFRESHMENTS ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT ON TO THE PREMISES.
